It has been far too long since I have posted anything on my blog. I would love to pretend like there has been some really good reason that I have been so silent for so long – but really, I just think that life got chaotic and I got really behind. But, it is about time to change that and get some photos back up here…

So, I thought I would start with a truly wonderful wedding that I had the joy to photograph last spring. (I guess we will consider this a “Happy Anniversary Month” post for Stephanie and Patrick). Stephanie’s mom and my mom have been friends for years, and I was so excited when she contacted me about shooting her wedding. It was such a beautiful day for such a beautiful couple. Seriously, the love that these two have for each other is so evident, and I loved getting to capture their day!

I am already looking forward to more photos with Stephanie and Patrick as they grow their sweet family over the years!

Sonny {Senior}

Do you ever feel like you are so busy and so behind that there is no possible way that you will ever catch up? That is how I have been feeling. I have been so buried in work that I haven’t really been posting on here at all. But, here goes another attempt at keeping up with this!

The past few weeks have been non-stop senior sessions. And although it has been unbearably hot and humid outside, I have had a blast getting to work with some truly amazing seniors. There are lots of class of 2014 senior sessions coming soon to the blog, but first I thought that I should do a post from a class of 2013 grad. Sonny is such a sweetheart and I was so excited to get to photograph her again at the end of the school year. Good luck at Alabama, Sonny!

Grayson {3 Weeks Old}

I so enjoyed photographing this handsome boy and capturing his itty-bitty self (before he started growing like crazy). I have known his family for a couple of years through church and got to see how excited they were while waiting for Grayson’s arrival in February. His brother and sister could not have been happier about having a baby brother, and are so sweet with him. This is definitely one greatly loved little boy!

MP {College Senior}

I thought it only right to launch my new logo and new look by celebrating an absolutely lovely young lady who graduated from Rice University on Saturday. MP and I actually went to high school together (back in the day!) and I was so excited to reconnect with her and hear about all the awesome things that she has planned as she steps into this new season in her life! MP, I had such a great time getting to know you better during your session… Good luck with all that you are going to do!

Bella {3 weeks old}

At the beginning of the year, I photographed a very precious baby girl. Bella is my cousin’s daughter, and the first girl born into my family in the last 24 years (since me!). I was so excited to photograph this sweet girl because it was really a big deal to me! And, I must say, I feel great about this shoot!

Still catching up from all the sessions last fall…

I always consider it such an honor to watch families grow. And in this case, I have been around since before this family was even a family. Faith and I went to church together, went to school together, went home together after school, and pretty much just grew up together. Now that we are ‘all grown up’, I get the great honor to capture her family as they ‘grow up’ together! Check out pictures from our shoot to welcome little Mr. Beacon!

Silas {Baby}

I don’t think there is anything more wonderful than a happy, laughing baby. I don’t care who you are… it is the sweetest thing ever! It is impossibly to stay in a bad mood around a laughing baby. There is just something so contagious about it. Photographing Silas was just like that! He was so happy during our whole shoot, and so much fun to be around. Cannot wait to photograph him with the rest of his family this fall!

Peyton is six months old now! Hard to believe how much she has grown since the first time I photographed her when she was one month old, and her parents last fall . She is just the sweetest little girl, and so pretty! I had a great time photographing her and her family… We even got to take some pictures with her grandparents. One thing I did learn from this session is: it is going to be a very hot summer!!!

During that shoot we didn’t get to get any really cute pictures of Liam by himself though, due to the weather. So we met up again right before Christmas to get some photos of this sweet baby boy. Beckett {1 Year Old}

Here is the little man again! I have been photographing Beckett since his momma was pregnant with him, and now here we are wrapping up the first year of his life. It is amazing how quickly time goes by. Beckett had just been woken up from a nap when we meet at a park in The Woodlands to do his one year old portraits. So, that combined with some teething pains made for a lack of smiles and giggles that usually come with this guy! Happy Birthday Beckett!
