I love having nephews! It’s an adventure in which there is never a dull moment. This little man turned 2 at the beginning of the year, so we decided to do a little ‘fox and the hound’ themed photo shoot with his dog Blue. They are both crazy (in the good, fun way), and it was nothing short of a hilarious photo shoot – which included a little bit of bribery of snacks and play time at the park.

I first met Michael 3 years ago when I did his sister, Janelle‘s senior pictures. I was so excited to hear from their mom before Michael graduated in June, and to see the two of them again. A lot of times, guys compare photo shoots with a mild form of torture, but if that’s how he was feeling, he did a great job faking his way through the session. Good luck in your next big adventure as you head off to school next month!

Cris & Ariel {Daddy & Daughter}

It’s crazy how life can change so quickly, and people that you didn’t know a year ago can so quickly become everything to you. I met Cris and Ariel last fall, and it didn’t take long at all for this man to sweep me off my feet! And now, I can’t imagine another day without them. We took a little day trip to Brenham over spring break to go to the BlueBell Ice Cream Factory, and I couldn’t help but to turn it into a little photo shoot of the two of them while we were there. Take a look at these pictures, and you will see how much love there is between them and how much this little girl loves her daddy! (And maybe you will see a small glimpse at what made me fall head over heels in love with him!)

I first met GraceAnn when she was six months old, and I have had the honor to get to watch her grow up over the years, as a sort of big sister. For Christmas last year, I asked her what she wanted, and she told me that she wanted a photo shoot of her with her bunnies. So, that is exactly what she got! Megan used to be in my small group at church, and I always loved her crazy personality. So, she and I decided to spend the day together and go on a little photo adventure and lunch date! She is so beautiful both inside and out, and was such fun to photograph. Girl, you are gorgeous! Don’t ever forget it!

Stephanie & Patrick {Wedding}

It has been far too long since I have posted anything on my blog. I would love to pretend like there has been some really good reason that I have been so silent for so long – but really, I just think that life got chaotic and I got really behind. But, it is about time to change that and get some photos back up here…

So, I thought I would start with a truly wonderful wedding that I had the joy to photograph last spring. (I guess we will consider this a “Happy Anniversary Month” post for Stephanie and Patrick). Stephanie’s mom and my mom have been friends for years, and I was so excited when she contacted me about shooting her wedding. It was such a beautiful day for such a beautiful couple. Seriously, the love that these two have for each other is so evident, and I loved getting to capture their day!

I am already looking forward to more photos with Stephanie and Patrick as they grow their sweet family over the years!

Do you ever feel like you are so busy and so behind that there is no possible way that you will ever catch up? That is how I have been feeling. I have been so buried in work that I haven’t really been posting on here at all. But, here goes another attempt at keeping up with this!

The past few weeks have been non-stop senior sessions. And although it has been unbearably hot and humid outside, I have had a blast getting to work with some truly amazing seniors. There are lots of class of 2014 senior sessions coming soon to the blog, but first I thought that I should do a post from a class of 2013 grad. Sonny is such a sweetheart and I was so excited to get to photograph her again at the end of the school year. Good luck at Alabama, Sonny!

Grayson {3 Weeks Old}

I so enjoyed photographing this handsome boy and capturing his itty-bitty self (before he started growing like crazy). I have known his family for a couple of years through church and got to see how excited they were while waiting for Grayson’s arrival in February. His brother and sister could not have been happier about having a baby brother, and are so sweet with him. This is definitely one greatly loved little boy!

I thought it only right to launch my new logo and new look by celebrating an absolutely lovely young lady who graduated from Rice University on Saturday. MP and I actually went to high school together (back in the day!) and I was so excited to reconnect with her and hear about all the awesome things that she has planned as she steps into this new season in her life! At the beginning of the year, I photographed a very precious baby girl. Bella is my cousin’s daughter, and the first girl born into my family in the last 24 years (since me!). I was so excited to photograph this sweet girl because it was really a big deal to me! And, I must say, I feel great about this shoot!

Still catching up from all the sessions last fall…

I always consider it such an honor to watch families grow. And in this case, I have been around since before this family was even a family. Faith and I went to church together, went to school together, went home together after school, and pretty much just grew up together. Now that we are ‘all grown up’, I get the great honor to capture her family as they ‘grow up’ together! Check out pictures from our shoot to welcome little Mr. Beacon!
